Historical information

Peter Bell played for the newly created AFL club the Fremantle Dockers in 1995. He was one of the first new team members and played quite well but was dismissed at the end of the year, as the coach did not relate to him. He was picked up by the North Melbourne Football Club, and played for them for the next 5 years, being part of 2 Grand Final wins, in 1996 and 1999. He came back to the Dockers in 2001, and became their captain in 2002. He retired at the end of 2009, having played AFL football for 14 years. He was put in the AFL Hall of Fame in Melbourne, 2015. In 2016 he began as the presenter of the ABC Breakfast Show.
