BEAD WORK, CAPE
c. 1920 - 1929This is a delightful example of a sequined cape from the glitz and glamour of the ‘Roaring Twenties’, 1920s.
The cape, with side seams and a rounded front, consists of parallel rows of tamboured silver sequins on
a black cotton net fabric. Every twelfth row, the row has larger sequins and these are also around the edge.
Sequin pattern is beautifully shaped around the shoulders.
On the RHS there is a flap to close the cape. This is 60 mm wide, 360 mm long consisting of 10 parallel rows of sequins, 8 small and two large,
