LACE, BOBBIN, BEDFORDSHIRE, MAT
A rectangular doyley for a sandwich tray/plate is not common today, although was so in late 19th century.
Typical Bedfordshire bobbin lace. Design consists of a circle in centre with radiating wheat ears, on each side a latticework of parallel lines of plaited brides. Scalloped edge. Made as a whole, not in sections.
