TATTING, APRON

Overview

Exquisite tatted bands worked in fine white cotton thread set in a white cotton waist apron.
This was one of the tatted items which won first prize at Royal Agricultural Shows around Australia.
Each year Imelda changed the format of her tatting entered in a show.
Apron is 825mm across and 610mm deep with 160mm with fabric ties 870mm long.
150mm from base is a 20mm band of tatting and a tatted edging at the base 15mm wide.
On either side of the tatted band are three rows of pleats 10mm wide and 5 pintucking rows.
There is pocket on RHS, 120 x 120mm, with pleats and pintucking. Waistband is 50mm wide.
