PUMICE, LIPFERT FAMILY
Roughly teardrop shaped grey pumice stone. A high dome slopes down to the tip. Base flat. Two indentations along sides enable user to obtain a better grip when using the pumice stone to remove hard skin from feet or hands. Often used together with a little soap to aid the smoothing process. From the Lipfert home at 270 York Street
Pumice stone was used to remove hard skin or stains from feet or hands.
