Overview

Mrs Newman stands on the steps of the verandah of the Newman house (67 Hamersley Road Subiaco) with her hands held behind her back. She wears a long black lace cap on her head.The dress has a high neck with a brooch at the neck and she also wears a gold locket with a long chain. Handwritten information on back : 'Mary Newman as she went to the Centenary Ball in 1929 at the age of 75. Eileen took the snap on the front steps and had it enlarged. Alma Villis tinted one as well as some photos of the garden.'
