Atkinson’s House & Butchers Shop 1937 - 1945
1937Harry (Henry) Atkinson bought the butcher's shop from Dave Rigoll in 1937. An abattoir came with the business. It was located on the corner of Butcher Street and Cockram Street, but it unfortunately burnt down in 1945.Harry then purchased a block of land on Paterson street, Mundijong and built a new butcher.Ross, Harry's son, later took over the business. This building now operates as a hairdressers.
