BAWDEN, MADGE IN NURSES UNIFORM
B/W print. Madge Bawden, in white, long-sleeved, calf length nurses' uniform with veil, is standing on steps leading up the side of a rock wall to a latticed shelter under trees.
In December 1922, William Gilbert Harvey Bawden married an English nurse, Laura Mabel Jenkins, whom he called 'Mab' and whom his Australian family called 'Madge', while undergoing rehabilitation following his blinding in WWI.
