LAMP: SMALL NIGHT LIGHT, RED

c. 1920
Overview

Lamp and Shade: Two small night lights, one red, one blue, both with bulb shaped white opaque glasses. From the home of Mrs Morris's parents- in-law, 11 Hamilton Street, Subiaco.
A) Lamp base, red painted tin, with a weighted bottom to help prevent tipping over. Base is bowl shaped with a defined lip on the upper edge which joins a slightly dome shaped top. Screwing into this at the top centre is a brass fitting containing a small round wick holder and wick; a winder for raising and lowering the wick; and a decorative support for the lamp glass.
B) Opaque white lamp glass with small lip to fit inside support on base. This wells into a short wide glass which tapers towards a narrow upper opening.
