c. 1949A West Australian two gallon motor spirit ration ticket.
Ration cards were issued to the population of Australia to control war time products and spending. All basic items were controlled. Fuel, food, clothing etc. These were for the purchase of motor spirit.

Details
At the top of the ticket in an ellipse and in black lettering is "W.A."
Below this on a dark green background in white typed lettering is "MOTOR SPIRT RATION TICKET", then on a white background and dark green typed lettering is "COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA". Below this is the emblem of Australia in dark green and below this on a dark green background and white lettering is "VALID ONLY UNTIL 31st JULY 1949".
Below this writing is a green square, in dark green typed lettering is "TWO GALLONS", followed by a "2" in white lettering followed by "TWO GALLONS" in dark green lettering and below this "NOT TRANFERRABLE".
Below the green square on a dark green background and white typed lettering is "THIS TICKE MUST BE ENDORSED IN INK BY CONSUMER WITH NAME, LICENCE NUMBER AND VEHICLE REGISTRATION NUMBER".
