One Gallon Motor Spirt Ration Ticket
c. 1939 - 1945Six one gallon motor spirit ration tickets.
Ration cards were issued to the population of Australia to control war time products and spending. All basic items were controlled. Fuel, food, clothing etc. These were for the purchase of motor spirit.

Details
At the top of each ticket in black typed lettering is "COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA", followed by "MOTOR SPIRT". On the next line is the emblem of Australia, followed by a white ellipse shape with the words "ONE 1 GAL" followed by "NOT TRANSFERABLE" in black lettering.
Below this line in black typed lettering is "RATION TICKET", followed by "DEPARTMENT OF SUPPLY & DEVELOPMEN ISSUED UNDER NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-40".
