Founders Cup Trophy
The trophy is titled:
Melville Glades Golf Club Inc
Founders Cup
The Founders Cup Trophy is a silver plated, two handled cup mounted on a multi-tiered, circular wooden base. The lid of the cup is removable, although it is slightly out of shape and does not fit easily onto the cup. A wire mesh grate sits inside the cup. The purpose of the mesh grate is possibly symbolic as if the cup were to be used as a fire pit.
Winners' names on the cup appear on silver shields attached in mutiple rows around the wooden base. Winners' names also appear on honour boards (Items 2022.195).
