« Prev Item Next Item »

1980

Overview

Olive Evans Cup

The Olive Evans Cup is the perpetual trophy used to recognise the winner of the annual Girls' Championship.

The trophy is titled:

M.G.G.C.

"Olive Evans Cup"

Junior Associate

Championship

The trophy is a silver plated, two handled cup with lid, mounted on a jarrah wooden base. Winners' names appear on silver crests around the wooden base.

The trophy title, Associate, is the historical term used for women members of MGGC. It is presumed that the Cup is named after Olive Evans, the Ladies' President in 1980/81.

Trophy photography completed by club member Tom Arnautovic.
