PHOTOGRAPH: PARK STREET HOUSE, TIMBER CLAD
c. 2002From a collection of two coloured photographs of houses in Subiaco and Shenton Park that were possibly built using timber from the local merchant of the time, Whittakers. Both houses have full width verandahs, and symmetrically arranged windows on each side of the central entrance door.
Park Street house: Bull nosed verandah, simple posts (painted white) and gutters (painted green) with roof separate from the verandah. No fence.
Photographs donated to Subiaco Museum by former RICH student, Julia Robers from Curtin University of Technology. Julia did her practicum at the Museum in mid 2002.
