PHOTOGRAPH: 29 LYALL STREET HOUSE, TIMBER CLAD

Overview

From a collection of two coloured photographs of houses in Subiaco and Shenton Park that were possibly built using timber from the local merchant of the time, Whittakers. Both houses have full width verandahs, and symmetrically arranged windows on each side of the central entrance door.
29 Lyall Street house. Sloping verandah roof, continuous with the roof; wrought iron lace trim along verandah; painted blue with cream trim and picket fence.

Historical information

Photographs donated to Subiaco Museum by former RICH student, Julia Robers from Curtin University of Technology. Julia did her practicum at the Museum in mid 2002.
