The Railway Ambulance Corp in Katanning were the first Ambulance and became St Johns Ambulance Brigade.

Around the oval surround the Maltese Cross is etched "WESTERN AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT RAILWAYS" and below this is "AMBULANCE CORPS".
On the back of the medal is etched "S. CULLEN 1910".
