Overview
A black oblong metal rectangular plate which has a hole in the centre and a wire hook fastened through the hole. At the ends of metal plate at each end are wire arms, which can be folded towards the centre.

Inscriptions and markings
Embossed on the left side of the metal plate is "W.P. BIRD" and underneath is "Ladies & Gents Tailor". On the right hand side of the metal plane is "KATANNING".
On the back of the plate is scratched "1906".
Contextual information
W.P. Bird was a ladies and gentleman's tailor in Katanning at the beginning of the 20th century.
