A round silver medallion that has a embossed image of a swan swimming.

Historical information

These medallions were awarded to students that attended school every day of the year. It may have been an incentive to keep children at school, it is thought that Myrtle Cullen attended school in Katanning at the State School in Dare Street.

Inscriptions and markings

Around the rim at the top of the medallion is embossed "EDUCATION DEPARTMENT", and at the bottom is "WESTERN AUSTRLIA".

On the reverse side of the medallion is embossed "AWARDED TIO Myrtle Cullen FOR PUNCTUNAL ATTENDANCE EVERY SCHOOL DAY 1910"
