This baseball originally belonged to Matthew Goadby who, as a child, souvenired a foul ball and collected players' signatures from the 1994-95 championship play-offs. Matthew later donated the ball to the South Perth Baseball Club and it was lastly passed to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by Deb and Rob Chappell from the South Perth club.
This baseball has historic significance as a souvenir from the 1994/95 Australian Baseball League championship series. It bears signatures of some members of the series champions, the Waverley Reds, and is well provenanced.
