Item is a copy of a time table that was used by employees of the Midland Railway of WA. The time table provided information for employees on all aspects of operation on the railway between Midland and Walkaway, including passenger fares, time table for Midland Junction to Walkaway, engine load tables, sectional running times. and all items pertaining to the working of trains (such as speed, ticketing, rolling stock, mileage, cleanliness, platforms, closing of door, guards, consignment notes, receiving goods, stationmasters, crossings, telephone lines, toilets, accidents, sleeping cars, and special instructions for Gingin, Watheroo, Coorow, Arrino and Mingenew.

Copy shows that original time table was littered with mathematical calculations and notations written on the rear cover and numerous pages.
The time table has a strong association with the transport industry that opened up the mid-west region of Western Australia in the 20th century.
