MACHINE EMBROIDERY, FRAGMENT

Overview

An attractive segment of fine white lawn with machine embroidery indicative of hand Irish crochet from early 20th C.

Circular floral motifs connected with brides which have little pops (little padded spots), giving a lacey effect.

Possibly a sample for use in selling fabrics, as it has the figures “98492 6 6 ” stamped at one end.
