From a collection of two postcards.
Image: Faded sepia picture of a Bedouin (Arab) at prayer in the Egyptian desert with his camel standing alongside him. Reverse: Message from Fred to Miss E. Newman, dated 10/10/1915 from Cairo describing conditions in Cairo and advising they are leaving for the front at any minute.
Reverse: On the reverse is a message from B. Brockway in France to Miss Eileen Newman advising that he was now a full-blown artillery officer and of the weather conditions.

Historical information

Many postcards were sent to Newman family members during WWI.
