Overview

Black and white postcard showing a 'Steamer on Loch Lomond with the peak of Ben Lomond (xxxx feet) in the distance.'
Reverse: The card is addressed to Miss Eileen Newman, C/o Paterson Co Ltd, Perth, WA, Australia with the message: 'Loch Lomond 6/8/1915. Hope you are quite strong again and as fat as you used to be! We are having a splendid time and there is of course no sign of war here - but one cannot help thinking of the troubled times elsewhere. All our letters this week from WA are nothing but bad news from the Dardanelles. When the war is over, I'd attempt to come here for the xxxxxx.!!!' Possible initials 'JHD'
