POSTCARD: THE FIRST SUBIACO TAXI WITH MR ERN CONGDON, DRIVER

Overview

The original sepia image shows Mr Ern Congdon leaning against the right hand front wheel of the vehicle. Handwritten on the back:' Mr Congdon, 63 Hensman Road, Subiaco. Subiaco Railway Station.' Mr Congdon is wearing a uniform of dark suit, stiff collared shirt and tie and a white cap with a black visor. The taxi is open-sided with the roof unfolded and open and parked in the middle of the unsealed road. Young trees are growing in front of the station's wooden picket fence.
