Overview

Sepia photograph of Mary Greenwood standing on lawn in a garden with shrubs and picket fence. A windmill is in the background. Mrs Greenwood wears a long dark day dress with 3/4 sleeves and tucks at the hem line. Her shiny dark hair is tied back. She was the mother of 7 children aged 4 to 17 years when the family migrated to Australia and came to live in Peel Street, Jolimont. On reverse is hand written in blue ball point pen: GRAN GREENWOOD, and in faded black ink: Dear Daughter, as Harold has taken this in our garden we thought you would like to have one with love from you (sic) dear mother can you see the flowers.
