PHOTOGRAPH: TREE PLANTING BY SUBIACO HISTORICAL SOCIETY, LATE 1970'S
Black and white photograph features group of Society members and their children watching as others plant trees on verge in front of two Subiaco homes. The Subiaco Historical Society objected to the widening of Bagot Road between Townshend and & Thomas St, and the removal of street trees. The Society on this occasion planted their own street trees in defiance of the Council's action. Roger Daventry was the then President of the Society.
