PHOTOGRAPH: HOUSE AT 118 SUBIACO ROAD (OWNED BY SHIRLEY WHITE, MAYOR OF SUBIACO)

1971
Overview

The colour photograph features a brick house with a corrugated iron roof. The house is on the corner of Subiaco Road and White Place. The view is of a gabled front room with bay windows. There is a verandah on the left of the front room which was added after the house was built, and a portion of the original bull-nosed front verandah shows on the right of the photograph. A large shrub obscures most of the verandah. A block of flats can be seen to the left of the house. The house was owned by Shirley White, Mayor of Subiaco (1908-1910), builder and contractor. The home had stables and horses.
