Overview

This delicate bertha collar with scalloped edge is a fine example of hand made bobbin Maltese lace. The puffy wheat ears are indicative of quality work. Made in 4 strips: (a) row of four petalled flowers at neck edge, (b) Large centred flowers with 21 petals, © a flower in 2 circles and mesh background, (d) circles with Maltese cross and fat wheat ears.
