Scotch College, Number 3 Dormitory
1921Photograph of the Scotch College student dormitory. Photograph is pasted onto thin white paper, which was removed from a small photo album. A long narrow room with four beds down either side of the room. Some boys are either on or in the beds and two boys are perched on top of a cupboard at the end of the room. There are clothes pegs on the wall down the left side and two tall windows on the right side of the room.
Founded as a Presbyterian school for boys in 1897 in central Perth. Moved to Shenton Road, Claremont 1905, The original school was a 12 room mansion standing on about eight acres. Opened by Sir John Forrest. Subsequently extensively extended.
