Scotch College And Grounds
Scotch College viewed across the railway line from near Parry Street. Two storey, brick and banded college building is in centre background. To the left, partly obscured by trees, is the original college building. On the extreme left are the houses of Australind Street. In the foreground on the southern side of the railway line are several houses surrounded by low scrub.
Boys School founded 1897 in central Perth. Moved to Shenton Road, Claremont 1905, into a 12 roomed mansion standing on about eight acres. Opened by Sir John Forrest. Subsequently extensively extended.
