Conway Box Camera

Overview

A rectangular black box with a plastic strap on top. There is a winder on the side and two metal clips to secure the front to the back of the camera. There are two viewfinders, one on the top and on on the right hand side of the camera. There is a silver lever on the right side of the lens for distance and near photographs.

Inscriptions and markings

On the silver plate surrounding the lens on the front of the camera at the top in black stamped lettering is "CONWAY", below the lens is "MADE IN ENGLAND" On the left is lever, above it is "DIST", below it is "NEAR", on the right hand side is "6 x 9CM.".

On the left side of the camera is a silver plate with three levers, in front of the second lever is "FILTER", behind the third lever is "SHUTTER".
