Order for flour for the Greenough Flats Pensioners

James Slavin (or Slaven) was a Private 34th Regt., and a veteran of the Crimean War. He arrived in the colony with his family in 1863 and was sent to Greenough.
John Foran served with the East India Company and arrived here with family in 1851.
Both men had large families and would have struggled to survive on 32 acres.
