Promissory note from James Small
1868hand-written note on paper, staining and one punched hole.
James Small (1842-?) was an expiree working for numerous masters at Greenough (including J.S. Maley). He left the colony in 1878 for South Australia.
John Stokes (1818-77) was a free settler and farmer at Greenough.
