Large yellow-brown sperm whale tooth, hollowed at base and curved to point at top. On front and back are etched images of 2 19th C whaling ships, one with 2 masts, one with 3. Top of tooth has small notch in it.

Historical information

John Bell is said to have swapped a trypot with Hull Museum for this piece and #s 252,253,267,268,277,304 (Jill Bell with AG 20.3.99).
