Katanning Hockey Team
c. 1926A sepia photograph of a team of women's hockey players. The seven women in the back row are standing and the five women in the front row are sitting. There are two girls either side of the front centre person are holding hockey sticks which are crossed. The person in the front centre is wearing a dark knee length tunic which has a white band above the hem. The team players are wearing light tunics with short sleeves and a dark band above the hem line. The team players are all wearing head bands in the colours of their team and which are tied in a bow on the right hand side of their head. On the floor in front of the centre person is a circular wooden trophy with a circular metal plaque with hockey players stamped on it and smaller circular plaques around it. The photograph is mounted on light brown cardboard and it is in a black wooden frame.

An article from the Great Southern Herald dated 28 Aug 1926, which details when the Carnival was started, and that Katanning won the carnival in 1924 and 1926.
