PHOTOGRAPH: GROUP OF METTERS' WORKERS
Photograph showing a group of Metters' workers taken against a corrugated iron building, presumably part of the factory. One of the panes of the window at the centre is broken and a smaller window to the right is open. Most of the workers wear shirts with sleeves rolled up; a few are wearing waistcoats; many have hats or caps on; all are in trousers. One young man in front is sporting a bow tie. Two men standing at the right have watch chains (alberts). At the centre front is a crucible(?) and broken moulds(?) as well as limestone rocks used in the process of metal refining.
