1962The black and white photograph, framed in light (pine) wood, shows Mr Wally Hughes, Manager of Metters Ltd, in suit and tie, holding a piece of paper (notes?) standing on the left. His hand rests on a Metters' stove which is standing between him and the winner of the 'Oldest Gas Cooker Competition', Mrs Oulds. Mrs Oulds is dressed in a two-piece suit, blouse, hat and gloves and holds a coat in her left hand. In the background there are cooking appliances such as 'Chef' and hot water cylinders. Mr. W.L. Hughes presented Mrs Oulds with the new gas cooker in his capacity as Chairman of the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association.
