'Night Baseball News' Inaugural 1954/55 Season Souvenir Program
1955'Night Baseball News' Inaugural Season Souvenir program, dated March 30, 1955. A 16-page A5-size booklet printed on tan-coloured paper. Inner and outer covers contain advertisements. The inner pages have the line-ups for the grand final game between Perth 'Tigers' and the Fremantle 'Braves', discusses the trophies to be awarded (the Plymouth Cup and replica to the victors, and the Harold Denham Trophy to the runners-up) and reflects on the inaugural season of the Night Baseball League. Included are the names of every player and umpire who took part throughout the series, winners of player trophies, and WA's first Night Baseball State Team.
'Night Baseball News' was the official publication of the West Australian Baseball League (Inc.). It was published to coincide with games played at the WACA Ground in Perth throughout the Night Baseball Series. The Inaugural Season Souvenir was issued on March 30, 1955, for the Grand Final night of the 1954/55 season.

This program was donated to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by Barry Connaughton, who played in the Night Baseball League for Fremantle 'Braves'.
This is a well-provenanced and rare copy of the souvenir program for the inaugural grand final of the Night Baseball League in Perth, Western Australia. It preserves an important part of the history and heritage of baseball in Western Australia and therefore has both historic and social significance.
