PHOTOGRAPH: BALDING FAMILY OF EVANS STREET, SHENTON PARK

Overview

Sepia photograph of the Balding family in their lounge. Mr Balding and his two sons stand behind his wife, his/her mother (?), and his eldest daughter, Jessie, who are seated in armchairs and on the piano stool. The youngest daughter Joyce is seated on the rug at their feet, wearing a school blazer. The two sons played football for Subiaco in the 1920s. The Balding brothers (Snr) were builders in Shenton Park. The two daughters went to Rosalie School 1920-1926. The other Balding brother lived in Herbert Street and had three daughters: Mabel, Norma and Laurel, who also attended Rosalie School in the 1920s.
