Back rows are standing, front row seated on ground, second from front row are seated on a long bench. A few boys wear Eton collars, others sailor suits, and the girls are mostly wearing long sleeved short dresses. There is a verandahed house with trees behind a picket fence in the background.
Reverse: 'Thomas St State School. Taken on the 1st March 1918. Infant School Abbes Manson aged 8 yrs.'
