Overview

Front: The black and white photograph features the Balding family posing outside a house (same location as P85.14). There is an open window in the brick wall behind the group. Mrs Balding is seated with Laurel on her knees, and Norma standing alongside her. Mabel is standing at the back with Mr Balding. Norma is in a fancy-dress costume with ballet slippers holding a small shepherd's crook adorned with ribbons and ornaments. She is wearing a hat with flowers on the crown and an upturned brim. Mrs Balding is wearing a long formal gown with a locket around her neck.
