BADGE - CITY OF ARMADALE

Overview

A circular badge with a blue ring around the edges with text that reads [CITY OF ARMADALE], also on the blue ring is 2 golden coloured dots with golden stripes at either side.
At the centre of the badge is a shield looking shape with 3 sections at the top is a building akin to a church or town hall, the bottom right is a river, adn the bottom left is an orchard.

The back has a golden crossed pattern with the makers mark around the point in the middle used to grip onto part b

Historical information

Badge given to a member of the Rotary Club of Armadale Neerigen by the City of Armadale. It was most likely gifted by a councillor who attended an event.
The Rotary Club of Neerigen which later changed its name to the Rotary Club of Armadale-Neerigen was founded in 1982. The club was involved in numerous fundrasing events and sponsored several exchange students as well as overseas programs. Members would regularly attend Rotatory events locally, nationally and internationally as well as visit other Rotary clubs around the world. The club folded due to a lack of members in 2012.
