Historical information

The badge was distributed to Rotary Members in 2002 as part of the celebration of the year of 'Sow the Seeds of Love'. Each year the president of Rotary International picks a theme. For the year 2002/3 Rotary president Bhichai Rattakul selected the 'Sow the Seeds of Love' theme. The badge was collected by a member of the Rotary Club of Armadale-Neerigen.
The Rotary Club of Neerigen which later changed its name to the Rotary Club of Armadale-Neerigen was founded in 1982. The club was involved in numerous fundrasing events and sponsored several exchange students as well as overseas programs. Members would regularly attend Rotatory events locally, nationally and internationally as well as visit other Rotary clubs around the world. The club folded due to a lack of members in 2012.
