Historical information

he Rotary Youth Leadership Award if an intensive leadership designed to develop the leadership skills of participants ages 14-30. The award program can range from single day seminars to a week-long camp. Participants in the award are nominated by their local Rotary Club. This badge was issued to someone nominated by the club and who was accepted into a RYLA event. The program was started in 1971.
The Rotary Club of Neerigen which later changed its name to the Rotary Club of Armadale-Neerigen was founded in 1982. The club was involved in numerous fundrasing events and sponsored several exchange students as well as overseas programs. Members would regularly attend Rotatory events locally, nationally and internationally as well as visit other Rotary clubs around the world. The club folded due to a lack of members in 2012.
