Historical information

Henry White (in the middle and standing in the cave entrance), was one of the people who explored, named and recorded the major caves in the area. He had lived in a nearby cottage since 1899. White became the ‘caretaker’ and tour guide for the caves. In 1905 Yanchep became an A class reserve.
