This badge was issued to the finalists of the Mary Durack Award
The Mary Durack Award for Young Writers was originated by the libraries in the then Shires of Kalamunda, Mundaring, Swan and the Town of Armadale in 1979. There were five categories from Year 1 to Year 12 with prizes from a book to $120.
