Historical information

In 1886, Arthur and Robert Bunning arrive in Western Australia (WA) and soon after they purchase their first sawmill. Bunning Bros is incorporated in 1907.

In 1952, Bunnings expand in the WA market, adding building supplies to the existing timber business, became a public company and the leading supplier of WA hard woods to the housing construction industry.

This Price List was owned by Henry Charles Prinsep.

Bunnings was founded in Bunbury, Western Australia in 1886, by brothers Arthur and Robert Bunning, who had emigrated from England. Initially, a limited company focused on sawmilling, it became a public company in 1952 and subsequently expanded into the retail sector, purchasing several hardware stores. Bunnings began to expand into other States in the 1990s and opened its first warehouse-style store in Melbourne in 1994.
