Identity disc issued to Pte David SCOTT, 613, is part of collection of items handed down through the family. Pte SCOTT enlisted on 24/09/1914 assigned to the 16th Battalion, B Company, he was killed in action at Gallipoli on the 28/04/1915, aged 25 years.
The identity disc was issued to each soldier in order to identify wounded and deceased men. It was to be worn around the neck and was impressed with soldiers details, regimental number, name, unit and religion.
