GAME: 'PETER CODDLE'S TRIP TO NEW YORK'

Overview

Parlour game consisting of:

a) Booklet 'Peter Coddle's Trip to New York'. The text has gaps which are filled by members of group reading from the first card in the small pile they have been dealt.

b) 60 Cards, pink & cream. Each has printed on it words such as 'an aviator,' or 'a flood of tears'. These are dealt out to the players, who in turn fill the gaps in the text with the top card on their pile.

c) Gift box designed to contain bottle of Fauldings perfume - now contains the 'Peter Coddle' booklet & cards. Box is covered inside & out with gold paper. Lid is gold inside & green, black & gold patterned outside with 'Faulding' forming the pattern. Green silk or rayon tassel bound with copper coloured wire on front of box. Hinged at back. 7 short lengths of green artificial silk and one length of green stranded thread in box with cards. Sticker, glossy, orange & gold 'Fauldings Eau de Cologne' on base. Also No. 89.1.
