Image:

Black and white team photograph of West Subiaco Football Club, showing four rows of 32 team members and officials. The subjects in the top row, and the subjects at the two ends of the second and third rows are dressed in suits and ties, with the remainder of the subjects dressed in their team uniforms. The player sitting in the centre of the third row is holding a football that reads 'PREMIERS and CHAMPIONS / 1924', and in the centre of the front row, positioned between the players sitting on the ground, is the championship cup. (Same image as 2008.204).

Mount:

Light coloured mount with dark brown border around the image. Red and gold coloured ribbon in the four corners of the image between the mount and the glass. The gold section of ribbon in the top left corner has a small hole in the middle of it.

Heading above image reads 'WEST SUBIACO FOOTBALL CLUB / P.S.A., 1924 / PREMIERS and CHAMPIONS'.

Names of subjects in the image listed on the mount below the image.

Frame:

Dark wooden frame with interior gold frame under glass.

Reverse:

Chipboard backing with 'SHENTON PARK SENIOR CITIZENS ASSOC.' handwritten in black ink. The back of the frame has small strips of cellotape and masking tape, as well as a number of nails used to hold the chipboard backing in place. Across the back of the frame is a length of hanging wire tied to two metal loops screwed into the frame approximately one third of the way down from the top.

Historical information

One of two framed photographs of the West Subiaco Football Club (see 2024.366), previously hung on the wall at the Shenton Park Community Centre for a long period of time. Acquired and donated to the Subiaco Museum by Pauline and Richard Diggins, October 2024.
